Vehicle owners  may declare any vehicle to be non-repairable by submitting an Application for Non-Repairable Certificate (VSA57) and relinquishing the title or salvage certificate to DMV for a non-repairable certificate for no fee.

To process a Non-Repairable Vehicle Add transaction

1.From the Direct command enter NREMNTA V=<vin>.  Replace <vin> with the vehicle's original VIN.

2.Press Enter.  The Non-Repairable Vehicle - Add transaction appears.

3.Enter the required information as follows:

•Disposition Code

•Disposition Indicator

•Disposition Date (cannot be in the future)

•Ownership Document
