Vehicle Stop - Add

The Vehicle Stop - Add transaction is used to add a stop to a vehicle.

Please refer to the Vehicle Licensing Guide - Stops, as needed.

To add a Vehicle Stop

1.If not already open, Open the Customer Console using the customer's number or name.

Alerts Grid

If the customer currently has vehicle stops on one or more of their vehicles you may see one of the below Alerts.

For customers with less than 10 active vehicles, you will see the following alert:

Vehicle Stops Exist - Access VSTPNQ on Vehicles Grid Below

 

1.Open the Vehicles section to view the list of vehicles.

a) Click the Button_PlusSign to see more information about the vehicle. Click the Button_DownArrow under the Direct column next to the vehicle and select the VSTPNQ Vehicle Stop Inquiry function.

b) Clicking the Button_GreenRightArrow button will launch the Vehicle Stop Inquiry form.

 

For customers with more than 10 active vehicles, you will see the following alert:    

VEHCUT

Customer has ## active vehicles; Vehicles grid is disabled

1.Clicking the Button_GreenRightArrow button will launch the Vehicles Currently Owned by Customer selection grid.

a) If active, click the More Data Available Button_MoreDataAvailable button to list more vehicles.

b) Click the Select Button_Select button next to the vehicle. Click the Button_PlusSign to see more information about the vehicle.

Transaction Menu

1.Click the Transaction Menu button in the Main Menu Bar.

2.Navigate to Titling Transactions>Vehicle Stop - Add(VSTPAD) and click it. The Vehicle Stop Add inquire form opens with the customer's number populated.

3.Continue with the steps below.

Command Line

1.  Enter VSTPAD on the Direct command line, then press the Enter key.

2.  The Vehicle Stop Add inquire form opens with the customer's number populated.

2.Enter the VIN and Stop type then click the Inquire Button_Inquire button. The Vehicle Stop Add transaction form opens with the customer's information populated.

3.If you do not know the Stop code,

a) To the right of the Stop field, click the Button_Globe icon.

b) Enter the name or code and click the Search Button_Search button. OR

c) Use the scroll bar to the right to scroll through the list. Click the Select Button_Select button to the left of the stop code. The Stop Code and name are populated on the transaction form.

4.Click the Inquire Button_Inquire button. The Vehicle Stop Add form opens with the customer and vehicle information populated.

5.Enter the required information and then click the Process Button_Process button.

 

Button_RequiredField If an Administrative Stop (ADM) is to be added, a note MUST also be added. The Add Note pop up window will display where the reason for the Administrative Stop will be added. The window will not close until the reason is added.

 

6.Click the Process Button_Process button.  The Transaction Details dialog appears with the TRANSACTION PROCESSED  ######## message. (########=title number)

7.Click the Close Button_Close button to close the Transaction Details dialog.

8.Click the Close Button_Close button to complete the transaction. The selected stop is added to the vehicle.
