The Add Customer transaction is used to create a DMV customer record.
This transaction requires the entry of a FEIN [Federal Employer Identification Number] if the customer is a business or a social security number if the customer is an individual.

1.Enter the customer information as follows:
a) In the Customer Number field enter the FEIN if a business or SSN if an individual.
b) In the Name Type drop-down, select the appropriate customer type.
c) In the Full Name field, enter the name of the person or entity.
Enter the individual's name using the following format:
LASTNAME,FIRSTNAME,MIDDLENAME
If the customer does not have a middle name, you must put in the last comma after the first name like this:
LASTNAME,FIRSTNAME,
For a Business, enter the business name followed by double comas.

d) Enter the Birth Date for individuals (optional).
2.Click the Inquire button to open the Add Customer transaction form.
3.Once the Add Customer(QAS IN) transaction form opens, enter the required information as indicated by the icon and any other information as needed.
For IFTA customers, click the "Yes" radio button to indicate if the customer is a non-purge customer or "No" if the IFTA customer may be purged.
Note: The radio buttons will be active for the IRP In-State work center only.

5.Click the Process button. The Transaction Details dialog appears showing the TRANSACTION PROCESSED message.
6.Click the Close button to complete the transaction.
