Reactivate Registration

The Reactivate Registration transaction allows the user to remove a registration record from history and place it back on the current registration file.

Reactive Registration is a two-step process:

Task 1:  Remove registration record from history using Reactivate Registration, and

Task 2:  Change the registration status to ACTIVE using Maintain Registration.

Instructions to accomplish this task are as follows:

To process a Reactive Registration transaction

Task 1: Remove registration record from history

1.In the Direct command field enter REGACT P=<plate#> T=<title#> V=<vin4>, then press the Enter key.

Or you can enter REGACT P=<plate#> V=<vin4> or P=<plate#> C=<cust#>

The Reactive Registration transaction form appears.

2.Scroll down to the bottom of the Registration Information section and click Yes next to Reactivate Registration.

3.In the Surrender Information section click in the Surrender Reason field and press your Backspace key to delete the contents.  The Transaction Details dialog appears.

4.Click the Close Button_Close button.  The following message appears letting you know that you have completed Step 1 of the two-step process.  The next step is REGMNT.

Task 2: Change registration status to ACTIVE

5.Click the OK button.  The message closes and the  following message appears:

6.Click the OK button.  The Maintain Registration inquiry form appears with the red text Enter a valid key.

7.Enter one of the following combinations of information:

P=<plate#> T=<title#> or

T=<title#> V=<vin4>  or

P=<plate#> V=<vin4>

8.Click the Inquire button.  The Maintain Registration transaction form appears.

9.Scroll down to the bottom of the Registration Information section and in the Registration Status field select ACTIVE (a).

10.Click the Process Button_Process button.  The Transaction Details dialog appears.

11.Click the Close Button_Close button.
