Surrender Registration

The Surrender Registration transaction is used to process plates that are returned for a refund or voluntary plate surrender for no refund.

To process a Surrender Registration

1.If not already open, Open the Customer Console using the customer's number or name.

Alerts Grid	There are no alerts for this transaction.
Vehicle Grid	1.Expand the Vehicles section by clicking somewhere in the green bar. 2.Click the in the Direct field next to the desired vehicle. 3.Select Surrender Registration. REGSUR appears in the Direct field. 4.Click the button. The Surrender Registration transaction form opens with the customer, vehicle and registration information populated. 5.Continue with the steps below.
Transaction Menu	1.Click the Transaction Menu button in the Main Menu Bar. 2.Navigate to Registration Transactions>Customer Registration>Surrender Registration(REGSUR) and click it. 3.The Surrender Registration inquire form opens. Enter the required key combinations. 4.Click the Inquire button. The Surrender Registration transaction form opens with the customer, vehicle and registration information populated. 5.Continue with the steps below.
Command Line	1. Enter REGSUR on the Direct command line, then press the Enter key. 2. The Surrender Registration inquire form opens. Enter the required key combinations. 3. Click the Inquire button. The Surrender Registration transaction form opens with the customer, vehicle and registration information populated. 4. Continue with the steps below.

2.Enter the required information as indicated by the icon and any other information needed.

3.Once you have confirmed all information, scroll to the bottom of the form and click Yes next to Confirm.

When surrendering plates on a vehicle and using certain surrender reasons, if the vehicle has not been marked as "SOLD", a window will display asking if the vehicle was sold. If you click Yes, mySelect will open the TTLMV2 screen so the vehicle can be marked as sold.

4.Click the Process button. The transaction is processed, a Vehicle Registration Surrender Statement is printed. Give the printed statement to the customer.

5.The Transaction Details dialog appears with the TRANSACTION PROCESSED ######## message (########=the title number).

6.Click the Close button to close the Transaction Details dialog.

7.Click the Close button to complete the transaction.
